Payroll Specialist

About the role

ComplyAdvantage is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to run end‑to‑end payroll for its growing international footprint. You will work closely with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure accurate monthly and semi‑monthly payroll runs while supporting employee queries.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly and semi‑monthly payroll runs across multiple regions and currencies.
• Collect and centralise payroll data such as new hires, leavers, salary changes, bonuses and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR to verify payroll changes and with outsourced providers to maintain smooth operations.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries via email, Jira or Slack, meeting agreed SLAs.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, reporting and pre‑/post‑payroll validation checks.
• Monitor legislative changes and implement required payroll updates.
• Support audit periods and assist with global payroll projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, HR, Psychology or Sociology.
• 1‑2 years of payroll operations experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Experience handling payroll in multiple currencies and regions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to protect confidential data.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel.
• Case ticketing management with Jira.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Gemini.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (HiBob, Bob Payroll).
