Senior Consultant – ERP Tax Compliance

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Consultant to bridge tax compliance and ERP systems for Romanian clients. The role involves translating complex tax legislation into practical ERP configurations and supporting structured reporting initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advisory projects at the intersection of tax requirements and ERP configuration, focusing on structured reporting.
• Provide analytical support for compliance solution implementations and client ERP systems.
• Design and optimise tax processes within IT/ERP projects.
• Prepare fit‑gap analyses between legal obligations and system capabilities.
• Draft technical commentaries on changes in tax reporting obligations.
• Lead client workshops on tax topics and ERP implications.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to proposals and thought‑leadership material.

Required profile

• Ability to translate legal and tax requirements into system logic.
• Independent and ownership‑driven, capable of managing complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills, able to lead workshops and present to senior stakeholders without supervision.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Romanian tax and accounting regulations (VAT, CIT, local reporting).
• Hands‑on experience with Romanian structured reporting obligations such as SAF‑T, e‑Factura, and e‑Transport.
• Deep knowledge of accounting processes, including inventory movements and stock valuation.
• Experience with ERP systems – SAP preferred; Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics also relevant.
• Experience configuring and testing tax‑relevant ERP flows, including excise‑related configurations.
• Familiarity with tax reporting/compliance tools and middleware for structured reporting.
