IT/OT Support Specialist (Onsite, Târgu Mureș, Romanian/English)

About the role

D-ploy is an IT and engineering solutions company operating across the EMEA region and the USA, serving industry-leading clients. It is looking for an onsite IT/OT support specialist in Târgu Mureș who speaks Romanian and English, fluent in both written and spoken form. The role covers break/fix support for thin clients, IPCs, handhelds and lab equipment, and hands-on support for global IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT/OT support, including break/fix for thin clients, IPCs, handhelds and lab equipment
• Offer local hands-and-feet support for global IT teams
• Troubleshoot automation and production systems (PLC, SCADA, OT networks)
• Support software upgrades, patching and backups in lab and OT environments
• Handle incidents, problems and changes using ITIL processes
• Comply with CSV, GxP and data integrity procedures
• Take part in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of IT/OT support experience in regulated environments
• Fluency in Romanian and English (written and spoken)
• Availability for onsite work and a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Candidate must declare a criminal record no older than 3 months

Required skills

• Industrial IT systems, SCADA/PLC and lab software
• Networking (VLAN, firewall, routing)
• ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
• Database troubleshooting and MSSQL
