Finance Specialist – Accounts Receivable & OTC

About the role

The Finance Specialist will own the end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) process and billing operations for SAMY’s Romanian entity, ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full sales invoicing cycle in NetSuite and ensure timely RO e‑Factura submissions in line with local VAT rules.
• Lead customer collections, monitor overdue balances, apply cash receipts and resolve payment disputes.
• Reconcile customer balances and sub‑ledgers, investigate unapplied cash and drive the AR month‑end close.
• Maintain unbilled and deferred revenue schedules, verify cut‑offs and clear billing blockers.
• Produce rolling collection forecasts, AR aging analysis and regular reporting with risk commentary.
• Provide accurate AR documentation for external tax/accounting providers for VAT, SAF‑T (D406) and statutory audits.
• Act as the primary finance contact for OTC matters, driving process improvements and internal controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable and Order‑to‑Cash operations, preferably using NetSuite.
• Hands‑on experience with Romanian RO e‑Factura, VAT compliance and statutory reporting (SAF‑T/D406).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, look‑ups, data reconciliation) and solid revenue forecasting ability.
• Strong ownership, problem‑solving attitude and ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines.
• Professional fluency in Romanian and English (C1 level).
