Software Engineer – Java, AWS & Terraform

About the role

Awin's Product Development department is looking for a Software Engineer to join an agile engineering team in Iași. You will work on the award‑winning affiliate marketing platform, building new features, improving existing services and contributing to a smooth developer experience across product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Work within a small, cross‑functional team following agile practices and a well‑groomed product backlog.
• Design, develop and test new solutions while refactoring and improving existing applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate user stories into technical tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot services, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Contribute to code reviews, retrospectives and continuous improvement sessions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Maven/Gradle, RESTful APIs, unit testing and SQL.
• Understanding of load balancers, API gateways, service discovery and basic data structures/algorithms.
• Passion for clean, SOLID‑compliant code and continuous refactoring.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional, agile engineering team.
