Senior Project Manager - Data Migration Projects

About the role

fme Romania is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of data and document migration projects for its clients. The role covers complex data initiatives, working closely with clients and the fme delivery team, and plays a key part in developing and implementing data governance and data quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management of complex, high-visibility projects, on time, within budget and in line with client expectations.
• Lead client-facing meetings with technical leads and present project status updates, including financial KPIs, to the C-suite and PMO.
• Own project planning, scope management, estimations, risk and issue tracking, status reporting and project documentation.
• Assign and oversee daily tasks for technical consultants, keeping them aligned with milestones and resource needs.
• Hold regular technical team meetings, track progress and communicate technical risks affecting timelines to clients and management.
• Act as the central coordination point between customers, business analysts and technical delivery teams.
• Proactively identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure in line with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technical Project Manager, ideally in consulting or complex enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering business solutions for clients in Life Sciences and Financial Services.
• Proven involvement in document, data or IT migration projects using Enterprise Content Services platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English, and strong presentation skills.
• Team management experience mentoring a diverse, global workforce.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Document, data or IT migration projects.
• Enterprise Content Services platforms; Documentum, Generis, Veeva, SharePoint and similar systems are a plus.
• Life Sciences and/or Financial Services domain experience, especially in regulated environments.
