Senior Investment Accountant

About the role

Coface is looking for a Senior Investment Accountant with proven experience in investment accounting, ideally gained in the insurance industry or with an asset management company. The role joins the Group Finance Department, within the Statutory Accounting Reporting team, during a reorganisation of investment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and record intra-group financial transactions, including loans, borrowings, branch capital transactions and cash pooling operations.
• Account for equity investments and shareholdings (acquisitions, mergers, disposals) under French GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage back-office accounting for treasury operations such as commercial paper, spot FX and FX hedging.
• Review, analyse and reconcile bank accounts related to investment activities.
• Validate and reconcile accounting data files from CACEIS between French GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• Perform account and intercompany reconciliations, and monitor impairment and risk provisions.
• Take part in monthly and quarterly closing under IFRS and French GAAP, and run quarterly FX analyses.
• Maintain accounting procedures and upload and update IFRS reporting packages for a service entity.
• Mentor and supervise an apprentice or intern.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance (Business School, Master CCA, ACCA or CECCAR).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional English and French, spoken and written.
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, proactive and curious, with a continuous improvement mindset.
