Senior Embedded Linux Engineer

About the role

Accenture Industry X is hiring a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer in Cluj-Napoca for its Embedded Engineering Capability. The engineer leads the Yocto-based Linux platform architecture for a software-defined vehicle platform that unifies Linux, Android, QNX, AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR, supporting ADAS and infotainment. The role acts as the technical interface to silicon vendors and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical leader of the Yocto-based Linux platform architecture, ensuring scalability and long-term maintainability across embedded products.
• Lead, own and evolve the embedded Linux platform architecture.
• Drive BSP integration, board bring-up, kernel strategy, kernel configuration management, device tree architecture and deployment, and bootloader design.
• Optimize performance, boot time, footprint and reliability, and platform security.
• Act as the technical interface to silicon vendors and partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of embedded Linux experience.
• Proven experience with board bring-up, kernel configuration and device tree development and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel security features, system hardening and security platform design.
• Experience debugging kernel panics, driver-related issues and low-level system problems.
• Nice to have: multi-product or multi-SoC platform ownership, security hardening and update strategies, open-source or Yocto/AOSP contributions, and experience in automotive, industrial or safety-critical systems.
