Lead GenAI Solutions Architect

About the role

Marsh is looking for an experienced AI Solutions Architect to partner with engineering, product and business teams and design and guide the delivery of enterprise-grade, AI-enabled solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role covering solution-level architecture across AI initiatives, aligned with enterprise standards, security requirements and long-term platform direction, and playing a key part in leading innovation and experimentation in the AI domain.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern AI solution architectures, translating business problems into scalable designs and ensuring they are implemented consistently.
• Work with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads and delivery pods, taking part in design reviews and supporting teams from infrastructure setup through production readiness.
• Run targeted experimentation and proofs of concept to evaluate emerging AI technologies, turning results into architectural guidance, patterns and standards.
• Shape enterprise AI practices, including architecture patterns, standards, technology roadmaps and a shift-left approach to quality, automation and operability.
• Support cost estimation and solution sizing, and ensure solutions meet governance, security, privacy and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 3-4 years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Extensive experience designing and communicating solution architectures for enterprise systems, and experience evaluating emerging AI tools and influencing their adoption.
• Strong communication skills in English and Romanian, and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-directed, able to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Required skills

• Frontend framework, ideally React with TypeScript (Angular also acceptable)
• NestJS/NodeJS, and FastAPI or Django with Python
• RESTful APIs, microservices and API-driven architectures
• Cloud-native architectures and containerisation (Kubernetes)
• Identity and access management (OAuth, SAML, MFA), secure DevOps and observability
• Architectural documentation standards such as C4, UML and ArchiMate
