Italian Anti-Financial Crime Analyst

About the role

A global team dedicated to protecting clients and institutions from fraud, money laundering and financial risks is looking for an Italian-speaking anti-financial crime analyst in Bucharest. You will monitor transactions, investigate alerts and support client due diligence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor financial transactions to detect suspicious or unusual activity (money laundering, fraud, terrorism financing)
• Investigate patterns related to AML, fraud and terrorism financing
• Analyse customer profiles and transaction history to assess risk
• Investigate alerts generated by automated AML systems promptly and accurately
• Prepare Request for Information (RFI) to clients when more information is needed
• Write clear investigation summaries highlighting risk indicators (red flags)
• Escalate cases to the appropriate level when necessary
• Check and update KYC and CDD documentation

Required profile

• Fluent Italian (C1/C2 level or native speaker)
• Good command of English (B2 level)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of experience in AML, KYC or transactional monitoring in the financial sector
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
