Manager Financial Accounting (IFRS) - Hybrid

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced Manager to join its Financial Accounting Advisory team in Bucharest, working in a hybrid setting. The role provides expert guidance on complex accounting matters, covering technical accounting under IFRS and local accounting requirements, and works with clients across financial institutions and commercial entities on financial reporting and transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and prepare technical accounting analyses on clients' transactions, structures and operations
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and related disclosures for clients
• Coach and mentor junior team members and foster a positive learning culture
• Support business development, including proposals and presentations for prospective clients
• Deliver practical, high-value accounting advice with internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in audit, financial reporting, accounting advisory or methodology
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• ACCA qualification (or equivalent) is required
• Ideally contributes to proposals and business development activities

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
• Balanced mix of technical and analytical skills, creativity and strong communication
