IT Service Specialist - Foundation Support

About the role

METRO.digital builds the digital technology behind METRO, one of the leading international wholesalers in food, covering e-commerce, checkout and delivery software. This IT Service Specialist position works on behalf of METRO countries, turning their business priorities into technical support that ensures consistency, compliance and reliability. The role is full-time and based in Brasov.

Key responsibilities

• Support METRO Group corporate applications covering core business areas such as sales, logistics, finance and accounting
• Monitor and report data flows in real time between existing production systems, meeting specific deadlines
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on live production environments
• Analyse and solve incidents received from first-level support
• Assess, troubleshoot and escalate user problems to specialised teams when needed

Required profile

• Previous experience with SAP solutions
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, results-oriented team player who can work independently
• Able to respect deadlines and prioritise a busy workload
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Very good fluency in English, written and spoken

Required skills

• SQL: writing queries and understanding basic SQL code
• SAP solutions
