IT Business Analyst – Insurance & Reinsurance Solutions

About the role

The IT Business Analyst will translate insurance and reinsurance business strategies into actionable system requirements, ensuring solutions improve operational efficiency and comply with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document functional requirements using established management tools, linking them to IT solutions and testing.
• Analyze and redesign "as‑is" and "to‑be" insurance processes, providing data mappings for policy, claims, exposure and cedent information.
• Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments and integration planning across policy, claims, financial and reinsurance platforms.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing, develop test scenarios, and deliver training materials for end‑users.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of insurance underwriting, claims management and reinsurance operations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Attention to detail in documentation, regulatory compliance awareness (e.g., SOX, data privacy).

Required skills

• SQL and data query languages for validating data mappings.
• Experience with system integration concepts and API documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
