- Analyze system architecture, HW blocks and mechanical concepts to identify cost optimization opportunities while keeping product performance and quality.
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical engineering, system architecture, procurement and program teams to validate feasibility and drive implementation.
- Perform technical investigations and design change verifications of analog and digital hardware functional blocks during feasibility analysis.
- Support RFQ/RFX activities with cost-saving ideas and strengthen BOM competitiveness through value engineering inputs.
- Track savings, pipeline maturity and implementation status to support data-driven decisions, and promote reuse of proven ideas and HW blocks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of VM processes, workshop methodologies and tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in hardware design, component engineering, Value Management or related fields such as VAVE and cost engineering (electronic systems), in the automotive or technology sectors.
- Understanding of automotive electronics requirements, technologies and the end-to-end value chain.
- Fluent English with strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools for schematic/PCB layout and circuit simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Spice).
- Experience with laboratory tools and hardware bench testing.
- Ability to lead technical presentations and facilitate workshops internally and externally.
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, KPI tracking and relevant software tools.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues and justify technical decisions.
What we offer
- A hybrid environment, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week.
