Freight Forwarder

About the role

AsstrA, an international holding company in logistics and transportation with more than 1,000 employees, is looking for a Freight Forwarder in Bucharest. The role covers international shipments, import and export organisation, consolidation, customs clearance and cargo insurance.

Key responsibilities

• Research and plan the most suitable route for each shipment, considering perishable or dangerous goods, cost, transit time and safety
• Negotiate contracts, transportation and handling costs
• Offer road consolidation services and organise courier services and specialised manual handling
• Maintain communication and control throughout the journey, including management reports and statistical and unit cost analyses

Required profile

• Experience in FTL and LTL shipments in freight forwarding
• Good negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the market, including innovations and price levels
• Romanian native, English at B2 level
