Data Analytics Software Architect

About the role

Marsh Technology is looking for a Data Analytics Software Architect to join its team in Cluj-Napoca. This hybrid position requires at least three days a week in the office and involves building secure, scalable, AI‑enabled data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on product development while shaping the architecture of the Product Ecosystem.
• Drive tactical implementation of enterprise‑defined product strategies.
• Maintain high engineering standards, set guardrails, and promote AI‑assisted delivery patterns.
• Act as the interface between Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and management.
• Guide Lead and Senior Engineers, review designs, and ensure alignment with architectural goals.
• Design detailed solution architectures collaboratively with architects and engineers.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches.
• Build cloud‑based data and analytics solutions, including Agentic AI use cases.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication in Romanian and English.
• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Engineer operating at architect level across multiple products.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and people‑development skills.
• Experience with cloud‑native architectures, security‑driven design, and remediation of SAST/DAST findings.
• Solid SDLC knowledge using tools such as Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
