Basware Consultant - Invoice Automation

About the role

Accenture is looking for a Basware Functional Consultant/Lead in Cluj-Napoca to drive the design, implementation and optimisation of Basware solutions focused on Invoice Automation and Invoice Ingestion. The role needs hands-on Basware expertise, strong leadership in multi-country compliance and close collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tailored Basware solutions for Invoice Automation and Invoice Ingestion aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Configure and optimise Basware systems, including invoice processing workflows, API integrations and multi-entity hierarchies.
• Ensure solutions meet regulatory standards such as e-invoicing and tax reporting across several regions.
• Act as main liaison between clients, technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Manage integrations between Basware and ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle).
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Train and guide end-users and technical teams, and identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
• Mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• 3-6 years of experience in ERP or AP automation projects with hands-on Basware expertise.
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable solutions for complex implementations.
• Experience leading workshops, managing testing phases and delivering user training.
• Preferred: expertise in Basware Invoice Automation and Ingestion tools, familiarity with multi-country implementations, and experience with Waterfall or Agile delivery.
