Working Student – Software Testing (Automotive)

About the role

As a Working Student in Test Farm & Test Bench Operations you will support the setup, maintenance and continuous improvement of automotive test environments. You will work side‑by‑side with experienced engineers, gaining hands‑on experience with hardware, software and automation used in validation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support creation, setup and commissioning of new test benches.
• Perform maintenance, health checks and preventive upkeep of existing test environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and communication issues.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation and monitoring.
• Validate hardware connectivity, device availability and configuration management.
• Assist inventory management and hardware lifecycle activities.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of programming (preferably Python), electronics and networking.
• Analytical, hands‑on attitude and willingness to work with hardware.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work independently.

• Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HiL) systems
• Test bench equipment and measurement tools (oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, debugger)

• Serial communication interfaces (COM/UART, USB)
