Software Test Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to define, automate and execute comprehensive test strategies for next‑generation embedded devices and connected systems. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high quality and reliability across software releases.
Key responsibilities
- Define, plan and implement test specifications and test cases for embedded software.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and suites using frameworks such as PyTest and Robot Framework.
- Set up, configure and maintain hardware test benches, virtualized environments and test infrastructure.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Execute test runs, analyse logs, isolate defects and document findings.
- Work with network communication protocols (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, LTE, GPS) to validate end‑to‑end connectivity.
- Collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment to support testing and quality improvements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded software testing, including test design and strategy definition.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python and Bash/Shell.
- Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework).
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and command‑line administration.
- Familiarity with hardware test setups and networking protocols.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and strong problem‑solving mindset.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
