Engineering Data Management Specialist – PMO for Space

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space Romania is looking for an Engineering Data Management Specialist to join the PMO team supporting space projects. The role focuses on engineering data management, project reporting and delivery across multiple system elements.

Key responsibilities

• Define, institutionalise and maintain Engineering Data Management (EDM) standards, processes and deliverables throughout the project life‑cycle.
• Prepare and deliver artefacts such as interactive schedules, resource plans, dashboards, Earned Value Management KPIs and technical documentation in collaboration with Work Package Managers.
• Support project management, software development lifecycles, KPI reporting and requirements database administration.
• Participate in the definition of supporting life‑cycle processes that balance cost, schedule and performance objectives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in IT, engineering or data‑management domains, with at least 1‑2 years in project‑management support or PMO.
• Strong communication skills to interact with chief engineers, project managers and work‑package managers, often remotely.
• Fluent English; basic German or French is a plus.

Required skills

• Project‑management tools: Microsoft Project, Enterprise Project Management, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite.
• Agile tools: Confluence, Jira, Agile Project Management methodologies.
• Knowledge of engineering data‑management processes, Earned Value Management, software/hardware development lifecycles.
