Technical Project Manager

About the role

Trace Systems is hiring a Technical Project Manager to support IT project management at unit level. The role covers overseeing all aspects of a project and leading a team on large projects or a significant part of large, complex projects. The position is based in Campia Turzii, Romania, and requires US citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Support IT project management activities at unit level and oversee all aspects of the project
• Lead a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects
• Collaborate effectively with support personnel and communicate clearly with government leadership
• Use computer-based project management tools

Required profile

• Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (interim accepted); US citizenship required
• Meets DCWF DoD 8140 requirements for the 802-IT Project Manager (Intermediate) role through certifications, education or military training
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in design and development
• At least 5 years of management and supervisory experience overseeing military hardware and software development projects
• At least 5 years of experience in systems analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management, or an Associate's degree plus 15 years of recent specialized experience, or 20 years of recent specialized experience
• Able to travel up to 10% to support the mission

Required skills

• Security+ certification (required)
• DoD 8140 certifications such as SecurityX/CASP+, GSEC, DAWIA PM Practitioner or other approved certifications
• Proven experience with the equipment covered under the contract
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong documentation and technical writing abilities
