Senior Specialist Risk & Security

About the role

The Senior Specialist Risk & Security role supports the technology risk and information security agenda by strengthening risk governance, embedding effective frameworks and helping leaders make informed, pragmatic decisions. It is based in Cluj-Napoca and is hybrid, with at least three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate risk-related Information and Data Management frameworks, policies and guidelines within the existing Risk Management Framework.
• Design and develop localized IT, Data Management and Cyber Risk frameworks aligned to enterprise standards.
• Advise Business Leaders and IT stakeholders on regulatory standards, obligations and expectations.
• Lead and deliver technology risk engagements locally and globally, with actionable outcomes aligned to business priorities.
• Produce risk reporting for Business leaders, committees and boards, covering IT risk exposure, key controls and risk trends.
• Help embed the risk management framework in the business and strengthen the risk culture.

Required profile

• Relevant undergraduate degree combined with 5-8 years of experience in Financial Services.
• Experience in Information Security, Risk Management or Audit, supported by formal education/certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Confidence engaging senior business and technology stakeholders and presenting to executive and board level.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IT risk assessment programs and their application in practice.
• Broad knowledge of information security principles and practices.
• Advanced communication skills and strong personal drive and accountability.
• Nice to have: post-graduate or professional qualification, and certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
