Team Leader Software Engineering – Mobile

About the role

Garmin is seeking a passionate leader with a strong mobile background to head the development of Garmin Connect Mobile, the flagship fitness and outdoor companion app used by tens of millions worldwide. You will guide a cross‑functional team through the full product lifecycle, from design to delivery, in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Align team and individual goals with Garmin’s strategic objectives and track KPIs.
• Lead solution creation, effort estimation, development, and project implementation while adjusting schedules to meet deadlines.
• Mentor and motivate a team of 4+ engineers, fostering career development and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including prior lead‑engineer roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex software projects in an Agile environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Required skills

• Native Android development.
• Native iOS development.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building enterprise‑grade mobile applications.
