Senior Specialist ESG & HR Reporting (m/f/d)

About the role

BASF Agricultural Solutions is preparing to become an independent, pure-play agricultural company within the BASF group and is looking for a Senior Specialist ESG & HR Reporting in Bucharest. The role drives ESG and sustainability reporting with a strong focus on people-related disclosures under ESRS and other regulatory requirements, and works closely with ESG, Finance, HR, Risk and other functions.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of ESRS-related people data, KPIs, narratives and reporting requirements, ensuring consistent, accurate and audit-ready disclosures.
• Develop ESG reporting frameworks, KPIs, data structures and governance, with a focus on workforce and social topics.
• Coordinate reporting interfaces and ensure high data quality, clear ownership, consistent definitions and harmonised end-to-end processes.
• Contribute to the continuous development and automation of ESG and people-related reporting using data, digital solutions and AI.

Required profile

• Master's degree in sustainability, business administration, economics, finance, human resources, data analytics or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in ESG, sustainability or non-financial reporting, ideally with people, workforce or social topics.
• Strong understanding of ESG reporting requirements, especially ESRS, and experience turning regulatory requirements into reporting processes, KPIs and disclosures.
• Interest in people-related ESG topics and motivation to deepen expertise in HR data, processes and systems.
• Very good English and proficiency in common MS Office applications.

Required skills

• Experience with ESG data, reporting frameworks, data governance or related reporting processes.
• Knowledge of HR reporting and workforce metrics is an advantage but not required.
• Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors or ESG reporting solutions is an advantage.
• Structured, precise working style and strong analytical thinking.
