Senior Software & Platform Engineer – Risk Modeling Platform

About the role

SCOR is looking for a senior hands‑on engineer to develop and operate the Risk Modeling Platform. You will work on full‑stack applications, cloud deployment, and data‑flow orchestration to support actuarial and quantitative modelling teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and test reusable Python code and Docker‑based services for a web platform.
• Develop front‑end and back‑end components that orchestrate modelling tasks and integrate with Azure cloud services.
• Collaborate with IT, data‑integration and quantitative teams to translate business and statistical requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Provide 3rd‑level support, incident handling and automation for the platform’s operational environment.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience building complex, scalable web applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Quantitative or analytical background enabling effective collaboration with actuarial modelers.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

Required skills

• Python, Docker, Git, DevOps standards.
• Web development and architecture (OOP, FP, SOLID principles).
• Linux, PostgreSQL, JupyterHub, DataBricks, Spark.
• Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with .NET/C# is a plus.
