Risk Management System (RMS) Specialist

About the role

The Risk Management System (RMS) Specialist will support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of BASF Agricultural Solutions' risk management framework. You will act as the operational point of contact for business units, ensuring consistent application of RMS requirements and fostering a risk‑aware culture.

Key responsibilities

• Define RMS requirements, set standards, methodologies and governance processes.
• Provide expert guidance on risk identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation.
• Facilitate risk review meetings, challenge assessments and ensure high‑quality documentation.
• Consolidate risk information and prepare reports and analyses for management and governance bodies.
• Develop and deliver RMS training sessions and guidance materials.

Required profile

• University degree in law, economics, natural sciences or a comparable field.
• At least three years of experience in an RMS department, preferably in agriculture, chemicals or another regulated industry.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Risk assessment methodologies.
• Simulation and reporting techniques.
• Familiarity with risk management software and automation tools.
• Proficiency in standard IT applications and excellent English.
