National Field Sales Manager

About the role

The National Field Sales Manager leads, coaches and develops a team of Regional Field Sales Managers, ensuring consistent execution of national sales strategies, strong regional performance and achievement of field sales objectives across the country. The role sits in the sales area and is based in Bucharest.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual execution plans and strategies for the local market with the Trade Marketing team, and run the National Field Sales business plan
• Plan and manage the KPIs of the Field Sales Team and its managers, covering store coverage, distribution, additional store placements, cashier coolers and Perfect Store
• Optimize the store coverage model and field sales routings, define the store universe and enable the team to grow it through active selling and the Perfect Store concept
• Ensure field tools are available, used correctly and that audit data is entered accurately, using audit reports to support the team
• Manage the overall field sales budget allocation and tracking
• Coach the team through the global Field Sales training curriculum, with joint store visits and regular check-ins (mid-year, year-end, comp planning)
• Keep close contact with Trade Marketing, KAM and the DP manager, and act as the communication link between the Field Sales Team and other departments
• Work regularly with HQ and the region to align the team with global strategy

Required profile

• 10+ years of FMCG experience, including leadership of large, multi-layered teams
• Demonstrated experience managing managers and driving performance through organizational leadership
• Valid driving license
• Leadership, motivation and team skills, with a clear understanding of FMCG sales, distribution, competitors and consumer behaviour
• Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen, including reading financial statements and market trends
