Frontend Developer - DealWise

About the role

ING Hubs Romania, a software development hub serving 24 ING units worldwide, is looking for a Frontend Developer for its DealWise team. You will design and implement user interfaces for web applications, working on scalable, reusable frontend code and microfrontend architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Build scalable, reusable frontend apps and modular Web Components with Lit and modern JavaScript frameworks, contributing to shared component libraries and standards.
• Design and maintain microfrontend solutions and support independent delivery of frontend capabilities.
• Implement state management with Redux or similar, defining patterns for data flow and async operations.
• Develop accessible interfaces complying with WCAG and WAI-ARIA, including accessibility reviews and remediation.
• Optimize performance, fix rendering bottlenecks and memory issues, and improve Core Web Vitals.
• Create and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests, collaborate with QA, and take part in code reviews.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, automate builds, testing and deployment, and manage source control and release workflows.
• Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot responsibly, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience developing modern frontend applications.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Lit, React, Angular, Vue.js or similar frameworks, and with Web Components.
• Experience with Redux or similar state management, microfrontend architectures, REST APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Adobe Analytics and GitHub Copilot.
