Embedded Software Engineer - Networking

About the role

Accenture Industry X is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for its Embedded Engineering Capability in Cluj-Napoca. The team is shaping a Software-Defined Vehicle Platform that unifies Linux, Android, QNX, AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR, supporting ADAS and infotainment in safe, secure and upgradable vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded C++ software for real-time MCU-based systems.
• Implement and optimize Ethernet communication stacks, drivers and low-level networking components.
• Configure and manage L2 switches, VLANs and embedded network communication.
• Collaborate with hardware and system teams on debugging, integration and feature development.

Required profile

• Hands-on MCU development experience on architectures such as Arm Cortex-M/R, Infineon AURIX TriCore or similar.
• Experience writing drivers and low-level code for Ethernet MAC, PHY and specialized SoC hardware subsystems (e.g. Packet Filtering Engines).
• Experience configuring and managing L2 switches over SPI or the in-band Switch Management Protocol.
• Nice to have: some knowledge of Ethernet AVB/TSN for time-sensitive applications.

Required skills

• Strong C++ in embedded environments.
• RTOS development (FreeRTOS, ThreadX or similar).
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet and embedded networking stacks (lwIP or similar).
• Familiarity with VLANs and network segmentation.
