Data Engineer - Industrial Data & AI Platforms

About the role

Accenture Industry X is looking for a Data Engineer in Cluj-Napoca with experience in industrial data environments such as digitalization initiatives, digital twins and predictive maintenance. You will design and build scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable advanced analytics, machine learning and AI, working with heterogeneous industrial data sources and collaborating with data scientists, domain experts and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for industrial and operational data
• Build pipelines in Python and integrate legacy asset management systems, IoT data, time-series data and technical documentation
• Implement and manage data solutions on AWS, Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure, including cloud-native services for ingestion, processing, storage and orchestration
• Apply data governance practices (metadata management, data quality, lineage) and support data catalogs and metadata tools; Collibra experience is a strong plus
• Prepare curated datasets for predictive maintenance, digital twin and engineering analytics, and create data models and reporting datasets for business users
• Support dashboards and insights with PowerBI

Required profile

• Experience in data engineering and data platform development
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Knowledge of AWS and/or GCP
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and time-series data
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management and data quality
• Experience preparing datasets for analytics and machine learning
• Nice to have: industrial data experience, digital twin or industrial AI use cases, and exposure to machine learning or generative AI workflows
