Channel Sales Strategy & Planning Specialist

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Channel Sales Strategy & Planning Specialist in Bucharest, working in a hybrid setup with about two days per week in an HPE office. The role sits in the UKIMEA Sales Strategy and Planning team and partners with Sales Leaders, peers and cross-functional teams to build data-driven models that support sales planning throughout the year, covering sales forecast, funnel, sales readiness, customer and partner hierarchy and executive review preparation. It is key for sales and sales managers' decisions and for SS&P and cross-functional teams' process and tool automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations.
• Build statistical and financial models to forecast business performance.
• Define metrics, compare actual data with forecasts and set up processes to address performance gaps.
• Lead time-sensitive market research projects and synthesize trends and next steps.
• Work with cross-functional teams across business planning activities and contribute to priority projects.
• Develop go-forward business plan recommendations based on risks and returns, using historical and forecasted data.
• Identify analytical tools, models and methods for key business decisions.

Required profile

• Typically 4-6 years of experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance or a related field.
• First-level university degree.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, time-sensitive projects.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis and financial modeling.
• Research methodology, analytical thinking and data manipulation.
• Strong verbal and written communication and project management skills.
