Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead a diverse portfolio of clients, coordinating teams and delivering high‑quality accounting services within PwC’s Connected Tax Compliance team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and report to the Director in charge.
• Oversee financial management and large‑scale project delivery.
• Participate in business development and identify new opportunities.
• Train, coach and supervise staff while staying updated on local and national economic issues.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting and tax compliance experience.
• Prior supervisory experience and strong project management skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and local GAAP.
• Familiarity with IFRS (advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central.
