Working Student in Verification, Validation & Test Automation

About the role

As a Working Student in Verification, Validation & Test Automation at Bosch Engineering Center Cluj, you will collaborate with senior verification engineers to gain hands‑on experience with automotive systems. You will learn how to design, execute and automate tests in both software‑in‑the‑loop and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments.

Key responsibilities

• Run and monitor tests on automotive ECUs using HIL and SIL tools.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases with Python and internal frameworks.
• Analyse test failures, document bugs and support root‑cause investigations.
• Work with communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, FlexRay, SPI and I2C.
• Assist in setting up and using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, debuggers).

Required profile

• Enrolled in a technical degree (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.).
• Strong interest in automotive, ADAS and embedded systems.
• Basic understanding of testing fundamentals and test processes.
• Good level of English (mandatory).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• C++ basics.
• Linux command line.
• Version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, FlexRay, SPI, I2C).
• Experience with vehicle simulation tools, SIL and HIL testing.
• Use of laboratory hardware such as oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, PCBs and debuggers.
