Data Governance Deployment Coordinator – Engineering Data Management

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space Romania is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Engineering Data Management Specialist to join the Bucharest team as a Data Governance Deployment Coordinator. The role focuses on data governance methods and tools, helping the business become more efficient and mature.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the central Data Governance Methods Inventory, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage the Business Object lifecycle, including owner assignment, sensitivity mapping and metadata standards for the Data Catalog.
• Design and deliver awareness sessions and training materials for Data Quality, Data Products and Data Usage Assessments.
• Lead the Data Officers community, organise DG committee meetings and onboard new Data Custodians.
• Execute frameworks to assess data‑domain maturity and identify critical Business Objects through stakeholder workshops.
• Provide expertise on data regulations such as the EU Data Act and support the long‑term Data Office roadmap.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a Data Management field (e.g., Master Data Management, Data Governance).
• Adaptability, strategic thinking and the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.
• Strong customer orientation, problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain technical details to non‑technical users.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle ambiguity.
