About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Solar Power Service Engineer to support the deployment, commissioning, and maintenance of medium‑voltage solar power installations in Romania. The role combines pre‑sales technical assistance, on‑site engineering, and post‑installation service to ensure high‑quality, safe operation of PV plants.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support during pre‑sales activities, including testing and workshops with customers and partners.
  • Lead project engineering processes: kick‑off meetings, hardware/software oversight, acceptance testing, and site surveys.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, and on‑site troubleshooting in collaboration with engineering partners.
  • Deliver Service Level Management (SLM) and Technical Level Management (TLM) support, handling major issues beyond customer or subcontractor capability.
  • Manage technical cases via the ticketing system, execute network upgrades and swaps, and monitor on‑site operation quality.
  • Supervise medium‑voltage transformers (up to 35 kV AC / 1500 V DC) and operate safely in outdoor, adverse‑weather conditions.

Required profile

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent electrician qualification with ANRE license.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the solar energy industry, medium‑voltage systems, or related commissioning services.
  • Hands‑on experience with solar, MV systems, and transformer stations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of PV plant operation and troubleshooting.
  • Customer‑service and technical‑support background.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong safety awareness and a valid driving licence.
