Software Engineer – Reverse Vending Machine

About the role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test and support software components for envipco's Reverse Vending Machine. The role includes identifying, documenting and fixing defects, collaborating with the Validation team on test plans, and researching new functionalities and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Reverse Vending Machine software for all company products.
• Create new features for product lines.
• Resolve issues related to the Reverse Vending Machine database functionality.
• Contribute to defining software requirements and functional operation of the system.
• Continuously improve architecture, tools, and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of programming experience with high proficiency in C++ for Linux systems.
• Experience using Linux as a development platform.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software packages.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Customer‑focused with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Motivated, independent, structured work style and very good English (German a bonus).
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to work with a sense of urgency.
