Service Manager – Continuous Delivery & Quality

About the role

METRO.digital builds the technology behind METRO, one of the world's leading international wholesalers in food, covering e-commerce, checkout and delivery software. This Service Manager role drives developer productivity and delivery excellence by managing and improving the core toolchain for software development, testing and quality. It is open to candidates in Bucharest, Brașov and Cluj.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of developer productivity and quality tools such as GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory/Nexus, SonarQube, LambdaTest and Pact.
• Take part in vendor management, licensing, renewals and cost optimisation.
• Monitor adoption and performance through KPIs and feedback to improve developer experience.
• Integrate tools into enterprise workflows, identity systems and security controls.
• Facilitate feedback loops, evaluate new capabilities and contribute to roadmap decisions.
• Ensure compliance with governance, audit, licensing, data protection and security policies.
• Support incident and problem management for the managed tools with engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software engineering or DevOps environments; programming fundamentals required.
• Familiarity with SCM, artifact, testing and quality management tools.
• Understanding of security, compliance and auditability.
• Ability to analyse tool usage and satisfaction data (dashboards, KPIs, CSAT/OKRs).
• Fluent English; preferably located in Romania.
