About the role
ING Hubs Romania, a software development hub serving 24 ING units worldwide, is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join its Daily Banking tribe. You will help build scalable, resilient, real-time banking applications and contribute to the technical backbone of front-end Lit applications and Java APIs used by millions of customers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop backend solutions using Java, Spring, Maven, Azure, Prisma and Kafka
- Implement (test) automation, continuous delivery and deployment with Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Fortify, OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Own and deliver refined, tested and deployed code in on-premise and cloud environments
- Solve technical and functional challenges independently and collaborate in multidisciplinary agile teams
Required profile
- Proven track record of 6+ years in backend software development
- Strong analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding
- Interest in recent software development trends
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support business colleagues
- Experience with AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, pair-coding with LLMs) and strong prompt-engineering skills
