Senior Buyer with French

About the role

MKS Instruments is looking for a Senior Buyer with French in Bucharest, Romania. As a trusted partner for several MKS sites across EMEA, you will help maintain and improve the company's collaboration with its suppliers. The role reports to the Procurement Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with and manage the supply base to prevent and resolve delivery, quality or pricing issues.
• Drive the supply chain to meet and exceed the production floor's needs and eliminate interruptions.
• Manage multiple projects and achieve daily, weekly and monthly purchasing goals and metrics.
• Act as the focal point for escalating supplier relationship issues for the suppliers under your responsibility.
• Maintain supplier status regarding scorecards, business drivers and development needs where applicable.
• Maintain price tables and/or manage requisitions for pricing related to category contracts and negotiations.
• Travel to suppliers and other MKS facilities about 10-20% of the time, or as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics or engineering, with knowledge of material management or logistics.
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Proven experience with purchasing and supply chain tools.
• Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

Required skills

• ERP/MRP systems, SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
