Import/Export Specialist

About the role

MKS Instruments, Inc. is looking for an Import/Export Specialist in Bucharest. You will work closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Customer Support and external logistics partners, reporting to the Manager, Import/Export Compliance. You will coordinate international and domestic shipments, ensure regulatory compliance and support continuous improvement of export activities, including those covered by dual-use, military and ANCEX/ITAR/EAR regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate international and domestic shipments according to production and customer requirements
• Prepare and validate import/export documentation such as invoices, declarations and certificates of origin
• Support licensing and reporting for military and dual-use goods under ANCEX, ITAR/EAR
• Ensure compliance with EU customs regulations and internal policies
• Work with Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to resolve shipment or customs issues
• Maintain accurate records and support internal and external audits

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in international logistics, customs or trade compliance
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, Incoterms and HS classification
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage several priorities
• Experience with ITAR/EAR or dual-use regulations is a strong advantage
