Senior Backend Software Developer - Mobile Banking

About the role

ING Hubs Romania, a software development hub serving 24 ING units worldwide, is hiring a Senior Software Developer for its Mobile Banking department. You will join an international, multidisciplinary team and help build the mobile app framework and the high-performance APIs behind it.

Key responsibilities

• Work in an international environment within multidisciplinary squads alongside business colleagues and native mobile developers.
• Build the next steps for the mobile app framework in the Mobile Banking department.
• Take ownership, communicate clearly and proactively improve yourself and the surrounding ecosystem.
• Lead and coach junior colleagues and share knowledge through presentations, workshops, documentation and setting new technical standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record and proficiency in backend software development (8+ years).
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams and agile working methods.
• Fluent English speaking and writing.
• Ability to transfer knowledge to the bank and strong social and communication skills.

Required skills

• Backend development with Java, Kotlin, Spring, Maven, Sonar and Checkmarx.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps/GitHub, SonarQube, Docker and OpenShift.
• Testing methodologies and automated testing.
• Design patterns, programming paradigms (OOP vs FP) and system architecture.
• Kafka and Oracle are a plus; Kotlin is also a plus.
