QA Lead / Software Testing Analyst

About the role
Miele is looking for an analyst to lead and coordinate testing activities across software and hardware integration projects in Brasov. The role covers defining test strategies and plans, performing manual and automated testing, and working closely with development, hardware, quality and product teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate testing activities across software and hardware integration projects
- Define test strategies, test plans and schedules for manual and automated testing
- Perform manual and automated testing of software systems and their interaction with Miele and third-party devices
- Design, implement and maintain test cases for system-, E2E and regression testing
- Ensure verification and traceability of requirements through comprehensive test coverage
- Collaborate with development, hardware, quality and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Monitor and report on test progress, defects and quality metrics
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools and documentation
- Mentor and support QA and Dev team members
- Participate in release planning and risk assessment
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 1 year in a lead or coordination role
- Proven track record in QA for IoT applications and in DevOps teams
- Experience with manual testing of software and embedded systems
- Strong understanding of the full testing lifecycle and methodologies
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Fluent English is a must; German is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; ISTQB or similar certification is an advantage
Required skills
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr and Azure DevOps
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress
- Nice to have: performance, security or mobile testing; scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript or Java; Agile/Scrum; cloud testing environments such as Azure or AWS
