Project Manager - Payments and Settlement Services

About the role

ING Hubs Romania provides software development, data management, risk and compliance, audit and retail operations services to 24 ING units worldwide, operating from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. This Project Manager role sits in the True International Payments (TIP) domain of the Payment and Settlement Services (PSS) unit, which delivers standardized payments and settlement services to ING's business lines and is looking to commercialise its payment platforms externally. The role combines market and system knowledge, product management and business expertise to lead change initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Take a leading role in delivering change initiatives, combining market and system knowledge, product management and business expertise.
• Analyse complex, cross-domain, end-to-end environments and act as the interface between customers, operations, IT and risk management to turn challenges into technology and process solutions.
• Maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and represent the business voice to the squads.
• Facilitate release and testing through impact assessments, release reports and user sign-offs.
• Structure, simplify and solve process and system issues, and lead end-to-end refinement and solution design sessions.
• Work independently, think through decision implications, and share knowledge so it stays up to date and reusable.

Required profile

• Customer Journey Expert (CJE) with experience in program and project management in payments.
• Experience with product and service management and processes.
• Experience working with nearshore and offshore teams is an advantage.
• Bachelor's or master's degree and an excellent level of English.
• Naturally collaborative, customer-focused, able to challenge the status quo and bring people together.
