Product Owner - PSS Products

About the role

ING Hubs Romania, which provides software development, data management, risk and compliance, audit and retail operations services to 24 ING units worldwide, is hiring a Product Owner for its Payment and Settlement Services (PSS) products. The PSS is an independent unit within ING's CTO domain, focused on safe, secure, compliant and reliable payments and settlement services for internal business lines, with an ambition to commercialise them externally. The role sits in the True International Payments (TIP) domain and works closely with stakeholders, architects, engineers and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise the product backlog and order features and stories so that business value is maximised and TIP domain objectives are met
• Create epics, features, user stories and tasks
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Finance, Tax, Sales and service consumers and providers
• Solve impediments in product development and manage the backlog actively and in time with business and IT stakeholders
• Ensure functional and non-functional requirements (security, resilience, performance, legal and compliance) are defined and met
• Take control of Risk and Compliance aspects of the product
• Build a solid foundation with the development and operations team

Required skills

• Product Owner experience (and/or Scrum Master experience) is mandatory
• Strong backlog management, including prioritisation, refinement and stakeholder alignment
• Experience guiding onshore and offshore teams is a plus
• Experience in Agile environments in a corporate setting
• Experience in payments services (international, instant, domestic) and knowledge of the payment domain is a plus
