Process Engineer – Manufacturing Integration

About the role

The Process Engineer will bridge design and manufacturing, ensuring that industrial requirements are embedded throughout the product development lifecycle. Working within Airbus Aerostructures, the role focuses on building robust processes, managing technical sequencing, and supporting shop‑floor execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on Co‑Design/Co‑Indus activities to integrate manufacturing best practices early in the design phase.
• Define build processes, calculate operation‑level times, and manage technical sequencing for manufacturing execution.
• Specify industrial assets such as jigs, tools, and machines, and drive first‑installation implementation with feedback loops.
• Create and maintain routings, Bills of Material, and Standard Operating Instructions aligned with shop‑floor needs.
• Run and support PFMEA/FMEA analyses and ensure execution of reliable, safe operations.
• Participate in quality control boards, providing measurement tasks and securing capability processes.
• Interface with supply‑chain functions to guarantee data consistency and address missing parts or stock issues.
• Support continuous improvement on the shop floor and advise on budget and CAPEX planning.

Required profile

• Professional level experience in manufacturing engineering or a related industrial field.
• Willingness to travel periodically to Germany for training and knowledge transfer.
• Strong awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.

Required skills

• Knowledge of heat treatment, stretching, and surface protection processes.
• Experience with PFMEA/FMEA methodologies.
• Ability to create and manage manufacturing dossiers, routings, and standard work instructions.
• Proficiency in configuration management (Delta 2) and industrial asset specification.
• Understanding of supply‑chain data consistency and impact on MRP.
• Familiarity with standard time value implementation in routings.
