Lead Java Engineer - CDSClear

About the role

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is building a new engineering team in Bucharest for its CDSClear IT team, which powers CDSClear, a critical clearing service within LSEG. The role is a Lead Java Engineer position, working with colleagues in London and Paris to deliver high-quality, well-tested Java server-side solutions. The career stage listed is Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, using Agile or traditional methodologies as needed.
• Design, develop and test Java applications and their supporting infrastructure in development environments.
• Analyse business and functional requirements to design solutions.
• Collaborate with global teams on application and infrastructure design.
• Automate testing, deployment and release processes to ensure speed and quality.
• Work in a regulated financial environment with a strong focus on cybersecurity, and provide occasional out-of-hours support for releases or incidents.

Required profile

• 5+ years of similar experience.
• Experience designing and developing Java-based backend services (Spring Boot, microservices) with Maven or Gradle, meeting corporate standards for resilience and information security.
• Experience configuring and deploying applications with Ansible, Linux skills for software management and debugging, and CI/CD pipelines for tests and deployments.
