IT Business Analyst / Test Coordinator - SEPA Payments

About the role

ING Hubs Romania's Payment & Settlement Services (PSS) unit designs, builds and operates payment, settlement and open banking services for 24 ING units worldwide. The IT Business Analyst / Test Coordinator role sits in the SEPA (Single Payment Euro Area) area and supports the extension of the Instant Payments and SEPA Credit Transfer platform for all European ING entities, including new connectivity to account management systems and clearinghouses.

Key responsibilities

• Determine the functional impact of business, architecture and IT requirements on the IT domain.
• Design features with stakeholders, split epics into features and build a functional roadmap.
• Present design alternatives and act as the main contact for stakeholders across business, IT and architecture.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Work with architects and developers on technical solutions, risks and non-functional impact.
• Define test scope and get stakeholders (local entities, departments such as Reporting, Finance, Treasury, Billing) and Risk to approve test coverage, including COPAF coverage.
• Investigate failures and conduct defect triage.

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience in IT/business analysis in banking or a related field.
• Knowledge of the software development cycle and stakeholder management.
• Advanced English; foreign languages are not required.
• Nice to have: bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, and banking or payments flow experience (MT and ISO20022 standards).

• Practical IT knowledge: modern APIs in microservices, databases, operating systems and programming languages.
• Strong analytical skills, logical thinking and excellent communication skills.
• Nice to have: good project management skills for multiple projects.
