IT Business Analyst - Core Banking (AERPCs)

About the role

ING Hubs Romania, a software development hub serving 24 ING units worldwide, is looking for an IT Business Analyst for its Accounts Engine RPCs (AE RPCs) squad. This squad develops common functionality for core banking systems so that selected capabilities can be standardized across all core banking instances. You will understand business requirements, find implementation options with architects and developers, run requirements and design workshops, and present solutions to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and clarify requirements, refine the product backlog and write technical specifications and user stories
• Analyse processes with stakeholders and end users so the system models them correctly
• Translate complex business needs into functional specifications and turn requests into alignment proposals
• Manage quality assurance processes and consider non-functional requirements such as security, performance, availability and scalability
• Build, optimize and automate processes, and deliver training, documentation and technical support
• Take part in daily agile ceremonies with in-house and external developers
• Create automated functional tests, smoke tests, and build and run automated functional, integration, user acceptance and production tests

Required profile

• Ideally 5 years of experience in the banking industry
• Good knowledge of banking business processes and products
• Ability to manage a global product for multiple clients and stakeholders
• Fluency in English is a must; a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is a plus

Required skills

• Deep understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases
• Security, audit and IT architecture best practices
• Nice to have: core banking technology experience, Azure DevOps or GitLab, Agile methodology, foreign languages
