Data and AI Compliance Manager
Accenture
Job description
About the role
As Manager, Data & AI Compliance, you will build and lead Accenture's global Data & AI compliance program, reporting to and working closely with the Associate Director, Data & AI Compliance. It is a full-time role open to experienced senior professionals in digital, technology, governance and compliance, based in Romania (Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Targu-Mures, Timisoara).
Key responsibilities
- Review internal and client-facing projects to ensure compliance with law, regulations and voluntary commitments.
- Identify current and future legal, regulatory and policy requirements and industry best practices, and turn them into Accenture policy, standards and controls.
- Work with risk, information security and other teams to build and run the program, supporting risk and quality management and post-market monitoring.
- Support client-facing work, such as advising contracting counsel.
- Engage business stakeholders so data and AI compliance is considered early in new services, offerings, projects, products and initiatives.
- Track technology trends and their impact, and develop guidance, training and thought leadership for internal audiences.
- Build trusted relationships with legal, risk, information security, business teams and clients, and advise colleagues in remote locations.
Required profile
- Demonstrated command of data governance and AI, and related policies, laws and regulations.
- Accountability for a compliance program, ideally at a multinational organization or in the digital, AI or technology space.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a (ideally global) compliance and ethics/governance function.
- Experience managing other staff (formal or functional reporting lines).
- Fluent in English; JD or equivalent law degree depending on geography; relevant certifications (data privacy, data governance, audit, AI, information security) are a plus.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of AI, data governance, data management principles, strategies and frameworks.
- Ability to monitor legal and regulatory trends and turn them into actionable requirements.
- Project management and organizational skills are a plus.
