Cybersecurity Test Manager

About the role

HARMAN is creating a new Connectivity Test Center team in Bucharest and is hiring a Manager Cybersecurity Test. The role leads the cybersecurity testing of Telematics Control Units (TCU) and works closely with the wider team, with a hybrid setup of about three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Line management of the Harman CSEC Test Engineers in Bucharest, covering performance, career development and resource planning
• Functional management of external test providers and contractors aligned to quality and delivery standards
• Own the CSEC test strategy and execution for TCU validation across the center's domains
• Plan and steer CSEC test activities, including resource allocation, test coverage and roadmap, and lab and vehicle validation capacity
• Monitor plans, timelines and milestones against vehicle program gates and release cycles
• Track and report KPIs such as test coverage, defect detection efficiency, stability and cycle time
• Promote CSEC test innovation, including AI-assisted testing, test data management and analytics, and optimization of regression and validation cycles
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ISO 44495, ISO 44496, IATF 16949)
• Lead team development through coaching, mentoring and skill building in automotive cybersecurity and telematics
• Collaborate with development, system engineering and validation teams, the PSCM project, suppliers and external partners, and act as the main interface for CSEC test and validation topics

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent experience
• Proven leadership experience (5+ years) managing security test teams with line management responsibilities
• Solid experience in embedded systems and automotive testing, including TCU, connected vehicles, end-to-end validation and CSEC testing
• Experience with distributed, cross-functional teams in global environments
• Business fluent in English
• Willingness to travel 0-20% domestically and internationally and to work from the Bucharest office

Required skills

• CSEC testing and test security methodologies
• Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MQTT) and connectivity technologies (cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
• Bonus: knowledge of automotive telematics, CSEC testing in TCU/IoT environments (Secure Boot, HSM, spoofing, fuzzing, jamming, cryptography, key management, firewall), and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA and ALM
